What is Fibromyalgia Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterized by generalized musculoskeletal pains, joint pains, neurological deficits, and psychiatric illness. Though treated symptomatically in the medical world, this condition, but some certain tests should be performed to diagnose it at earlier stages. According to recent research, every tenth woman with generalized pain is a fibromyalgia patient until proven otherwise. Fibromyalgia does occur because of any stressful event that happens in the body. It can be a hormone rush, any rheumatic bone or joint disorder. Moreover, the Good news is that there is nothing to be overly concerned about because our fibromyalgia panel can diagnose it uneventfully. We are offering a Fibromyalgia panel to our clients in which our clients underwent a test called Gliadin(Deamidated peptide), Antibody IgA, and IgG will be performed. This test detects the root cause of an illness to be treated on a priority basis. Gliadin(Deamidated peptide), Antibody IgA, and IgG. Fibromyalgia is a syndrome, and it covers various diseases like celiac disease and various rheumatic autoimmune disorders. IgG and IgA antibodies are produced in people who are allergic to a gluten-free diet. The level of these antibodies depicts the intake of gluten diet in allergic patients. These tests are carried out either to diagnose the celiac disease or to check the antibodies' level after refraining from the diet rich in gluten. We usually take a sample of blood to perform this test. This test comes under the fibromyalgia panel umbrella because fibromyalgia is a syndrome that covers celiac disease and autoimmune rheumatic disorders. When to order the test According to the WHO Guidelines, this test should be ordered in every subject with a family history of celiac disease or any rheumatic autoimmune disorder. Moreover, in the following subjects, it should be ordered on an urgent basis 1. Patients who have chronic diarrhoea (More than 5 Stools in a day) 2. Patients who experience bloating 3. Patients who experience abdominal pain 4. Patients who face weight loss and growth retardation 5. Patients who experience generalized muscular pain 6. Patients who have psychiatric symptoms 7. A patient who have greasy and foul-smelling episodes of stools 8. A patient who have altered bowel habits How to read the results To diagnose fibromyalgia, we usually see the patient's reading and compare it with the reference range. Having More Value than the reference range can be suspicious, and we can expect celiac disease and other rheumatic disorders in these patients. But please note that the biopsy should be performed to confirm the diagnosis in case of celiac disease. If these antibodies' level is lower than the reference range, then there is unlikely that you have celiac disease or any other autoimmune pathology. If you are diagnosed with fibromyalgia, the NICE guidelines recommend repeating the testing every three months because a regular check on such individuals is essential.
